Speculative Render: 2010 Nissan 370Z
There’s still some time before Nissan shows off their latest 2010 370Z coupe, but InsideLine has already put together some speculative shots of the next generation Z.
Cut short by 4 inches, the new 370Z convertible, unlike its Infiniti G37 cousin, will still get a power-operates soft top. The rag top is said to translate in a lower sticker price, and more
importantly, a bigger trunk and lighter car. Both
coupe and convertible get the same 3.7 liter Nissan VQ
that’s already powering the Infiniti G. Dont expect the Z to
get AWD like the G37x later this year - the Z still has
rear-wheel drive.
Nissan will launch the 2010 370Z early next spring in New
York.

Lexus unveils convertible IS250C in Paris
A year ago Lexus dropped the SC430. Now it has come all the way to Paris to launch the 2009 Lexus IS250C featuring a three-piece aluminum folding hard top (which goes down in a record speed of 20 seconds).
The two-door convertible is powered by a 205 HP 2.5-liter V6 and receives extended overhangs to accomodate a back seat and more space in the boot. Speaking of which, the rear gets an awkward mix of SC430 and 335i design cues. As a whole though, the car is your typical Lexus: 12-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, speed sensitive climate control system that boosts heating during high speeds and enough room to pack a golf bag with the top down.
Is due to arrive in Europe in the summer of 2009. It’ll arrive stateside shortly after. The full press release follows.
PRESS RELEASE
IS 250C – World Premiere
Making its world debut at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, the new IS 250C combines the sporting elegance of the IS sedan with superlative engineering ingenuity to create a unique fusion of top-down driving pleasure and uncompromised closed-top dynamic performance in the premium sedan segment. Its lightweight, aluminium folding roof structure boasts the fastest three-part roof opening time of just 20 seconds. Through the remarkably compact packaging of its roof mechanism, the IS 250C offers a large boot space, generous rear seat access and spacious rear passenger accommodation.
Sharing the IS 250’s 153kW/208DIN hp, 2.5 litre ultra-smooth V6 powerplant and 6-speed automatic transmission, the new Lexus convertible has been styled to offer minimal wind turbulence when driving with the hard top stowed. The enhanced torsional stiffness of the IS 250C design promotes ride comfort appropriate to the marque and, in coupe configuration, reduced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) characteristics on a par with those of the IS sedan.

Infiniti will make four-door GT-R by 2011
TopSpeed: When it was first announced that the Nissan GT-R would come to the U.S., it was expected to be a part of Nissan’s higher-priced Infiniti brand. Now as rumors about a four-door GT-R are heating up again, AutoExpress is reporting that the family GT-R will be launched in 2011 and will come flying the Infiniti flag.
The future four-door Infiniti GT-R is expected to compete with models like Porsche Panamera and BMW M5, and it uses the same four-wheel-drive chassis and twin-clutch gearbox as the GT-R coupe.
This is not going to just be a GT-R with a few extra doors. The car will feature a longer wheelbase and will be more oriented on luxury than performance. Gone is the custom built twin-turbo V6. Instead it’s rumored the GT-R sedan will get the less exclusive 5.0-liter V8 from the Infiniti FX50 SUV. It should still be good for 420hp and a 0 to 60 time of about five seconds.

New Mitsubishi Evolution launched in Japan
Japan will get a tweaked Evolution for the 2009 model year with revised interiors and a new GSR Premium model that borrows equipment from the top of the line MR model.
On the outside the GSR Premium option packs a set of 18-inch BBS wheels, Bilsten suspension and color-matching fender scoops. Inside, the GSR is fitted with a pair of leather wrapped Recaros and a Rockford Forsgate GPS and audio system hooked up to nine speakers.
As with most things from Japan, the updates are not available in North America. If you are in the area, the GSR Premium with five-speed manual will cost around $48,000 USD. The Twin Clutch-SST model will set you back almost $51,000 USD.
